Underfloor Heating Waterside Apartments

Right next to the New Waterway, the entrance to the world famous Rotterdam harbour, three prestigious apartment towers are erected. The towers are named after 3 famous explorers: Willem Barentz, Abel Tasman and Jacob Roggeveen. In total 192 apartments were all provided with comfortable underfloor heating and cooling from WTH/Thermo-Floor.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank HQ, Abu Dhabi

In 2012, following its corporate rebrand, the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank began a high-spec upgrade of their head office buildings, to include underfloor cooling throughout the ground floor atrium and coffee shop and mezzanine level coffee shop.

Heat Pumps & Underfloor Heating Barn Conversions

Thermo-Floor have worked closely with a prestigious developer since 2005 -designing, supplying and installing the underfloor heating for their luxury country homes. Totalling some over 25 projects to date, the homes are set in idyllic rural village locations across and require the highest specification product and workmanship in the installation of both the underfloor heating and high-end control systems.

The Nassington development has two barns converted into two dwellings. Each with UFH on the ground floor and traditional radiators upstairs. As part of our new Renewable Energy Product Portfolio, Thermo-Floor was contracted to design and install an ASHP with UFH system plus floor screed in each dwelling.

Heat Pump & Underfloor Heating Bungalow

Thermo Floor have been working with a housing developer in Peterborough since 2005 – running the under floor heating contract for their luxury country homes. Totalling over 25 projects to date, the luxury homes set in idyllic rural town locations across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland require the highest specification product and workmanship in the installation of both UFH and high-end control systems.

Jubilee House is a newly built large American Style ranch bungalow in Stamford. It has 4 bedrooms, snug and basement. The high spec building contains state of the art technology, and its owners chose to use the renewable energy generated from an ASHP to provide hot water and heating to the underfloor heating system.

Underfloor Heating & Cooling Deltion College Zwolle

Deltion College is responsible for the professional education of more than 16.000 children and adults. The building was erected in 2006 like a small city with multiple use buildings. Every level of education has his own building with a completely different atmosphere. The buildings are linked together by a covered boulevard that forms the lifeline of the Deltion College.

During the building of the Deltion College a wide variety of energy and environmental solutions were implemented. Not just only a number of classical solutions like a high insulation level but also some pure innovation. A system for underground energy storage combined with the heat pump system and Thermal Active Concrete was also applied.

Underfloor Heating & Cooling Hessing Utrecht

Located right next to the A2 motorway close to Utrecht, Holland, you will find the spectacular new building of Hessing Automotive.

This architectural masterpiece, a showroom shaped like a airplane cockpit, is fully integrated in the sound barrier wall alongside the A2 motorway. Hessing is the importer of exclusive car brands like Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maserati and Lamborghini.

The technical installation was a huge challenge because of the steel construction of the building, the large size of the glass windows and the exceptional shape. The building consists of three floors.

Underfloor Heating & Imperial War Museum, London

The Imperial War Museums origins dates back to 1917. It's huge popularity has led to the museum opening new sites, the number of which now totals 5 museums across the UK - each detailing conflict and it's impact on Britain, it's former Empire and Commonwealth, from the First World War to the present.

In 2013, Thermo-Floor UK were approached by Buro Happold to work on part of a huge renovation to the Atrium and First World War galleries at the Imperial War Museum's oldest site in central London. The project was to supply the UFH and cooling the 5th floor Atrium area of the museum.

Underfloor Heating & City Hospital

Peterborough's 612 bed, four storey, multimillion pound City Hospital, built on the site of the former Edith Cavell Hospital, has brought a better all round health service to the City. The building is the largest building project in the city since Peterborough Cathedral was built over 800 years ago.

The well thought out layout and comfort of the building was a high priority during the design stage, with visitors comfort and ease at the forefront of the spec. This can be seen from numerous features throughout the building including the hospitals glass atrium reception area. Where the comfort of the visitors wait was paramount.

Solar PV & Heat Pump The Barn, Rugby in Warwickshire

Thermo-Floor UK's new renewable product portfolio includes Solar PhotoVoltaic Systems. One of our first systems was installed in August 2013, on a new build home in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The customers brief was to make the home as energy efficient as possible through the use of renewable energies – To utilise one pitched roof space to hold solar panels, and also to install an Air Source Heat Pump. Thermo-Floor met the brief by fitting the roof with its maximum capacity of 9 x 250w within-roof panels. Also fitted was a state of the art Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump.

Heat Pump & Underfloor Heating Thornham Hall

Thermo-Floor were involved in the design, supply and installation of a ground source heat pump and underfloor heating for a Village Hall set in on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.

Thornham Village Hall is the heart of the local community and venue for many village activities. Sustainability and renewable energy are a high priority for ensuring the future of this community.

Villagers fund raising and a £475,000 Lottery Grant allowed this new eco-friendly building to be possible. And in January 2014 HM The Queen visited Thornham to open the new building.

Underfloor Cooling Yas Island Yacht Club

Thermo-Floor UK's overseas work began with this high profile contract for an under floor cooling system for the Beautiful Yas Island Marina Yacht Club, Abu Dhabi, set only a stones throw from The Yas Island F1 Motor Circuit. This iconic building was architecturally designed and set in landscaped grounds and now enjoys world-wide recognition.

This prestigious client demanded only the best design and product innovation for this project, and to meet the brief of an underfloor cooling system for the main lobby and entrance foyer.
